The Denver Nuggets head coach wasn't exactly enthralled by the performance at Salt Lake City.

Per Altitude TV's Vic Lombardi, Malone called it "the worst basketball game ever played." I don't know if you can fix it," Malone said when asked for a solution.

Malone noted that nobody got hurt. He also credited Kyrie Irving and Joel Embiid for playing hard, saying the Philadelphia 76ers star implored his peers to give more effort on defense.

However, Malone called the All-Star Game "a tough game to sit through."

Malone also claimed that Nuggets star Nikola Jokic thought he was the last pick before walking over to James' side during the draft. James could have selected Lauri Markkanen over the two-time MVP.

The NBA stars mostly abandoned defense, allowing unimpeded paths to the basket when not frequently pulling off for shots at the logo or half-court.

While the Elam Ending has provided some exciting conclusions since getting introduced in 2020, the action never picked up Sunday night.

The NBA All-Star Game is never going to be a basketball clinic. At this point, there may be no recourse but to accept it as is.
