Today's NASCAR Xfinity Series race in California has been delayed by rain.

According to Fox Sports' Bob Pockrass, drivers are returning their cars to pit road at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. The rain is picking up at the track, making it increasingly likely that they'll be able to get the race in today.

Fans are reacting to the inclement weather. "Why did we even bring them out?," one fan asked. Another fan called the decision to bring cars on the track a "legit clown show."

With rain continuing in the forecast at Fontana through the night, it's likely that the race will be postponed tomorrow. That would make for an Xfinity and Cup Series doubleheader, with the Cup Series currently set to start at 3:30 ET.

The Cup Series race (set to begin just after noon local time) would likely need to be moved to accommodate the Xfinity race.

The Fontana weekend marks the second points weekend of the NASCAR season. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won last week's Daytona 500 in the Cup Series, and Austin Hill won the Xfinity Series race at Daytona.

NASCAR will remain on the West Coast with stops in Las Vegas and Phoenix before making its way to Atlanta in the following weeks.
